SONOMA SKYPARK NEWS OCTOBER 2017 AIRPORT HAPPENINGS- The good news is Taylorcraft pilot John Miles is out of the hospital and living in new quarters to him on 5th Street West.  John has given up driving but is still his jovial self with an active mind.  Unfortunately he is planning to sell his beloved BC-12 Taylorcraft.  Maybe someone on the field can put together a group of pilots to own it for very reasonable flying.  Nelleke Cooper is out of the hospital with a new hip, she will be flying soon.  Richard Craig is the very active flight instructor on the field...

EAA Young Eagles

Sunday September 10th Come and visit Sonoma Skypark for our monthly Young Eagles day. Kids between the ages of 8-17 will have the opportunity to learn about aviation and experience flight in a general aviation airplane. Young Eagles is the perfect intoduction to the aviation community....

Skyrunner Visits Sonoma Skypark

img_0388 Yestersday a new and creative flying dune buggy took flight from Sonoma Skypark! This powered parachute is called a Skyrunner. It is powered by a Rotax 4 cl turbo for flight and a Polaris atv engine for off roading. The represenatives from skyrunner were at Skypark doing a demo flight for a possible buyer.     SONOMA SKYPARK NEWS AUGUST 2015 OSHKOSH WAS GREAT-   Fifteen or more folks from Skypark were in attendance for a few days or the whole week.  The weather was the best I have ever experienced, warm and a few hot mid-west days but cool nights for sleeping in a sleeping bag.  Peter Gauthier’s Pitts replica was prominently displayed in the International Aerobatic Club’s building as part of the 70th anniversary recognition of Pitts Aerobatic Aircraft.  Two Skypark Airport couples actually flew their airplanes to Oshkosh.  Walt & Carlene Bowe flew their Beechcraft D-18 in and...
